IT之家 5 月 25 日消息，外媒 Insider Gaming 负责人 Tom Henderson 在和 Mike Straw、A2TheP、GTH 的连线直播中透露微软将砍掉 Xbox 游戏机，目前在开发中的下一代主机将是 Xbox 品牌的最后一代硬件产品。目前已知下一代主机阵容中包含一款掌机。

IT之家注意到，在过去一年多的时间里，微软已有《完美音浪》、《盗贼之海》、《夺宝奇兵》、《极限竞速：地平线 5》、《地狱之刃 2》等多款作品登陆 PS5 平台。
此外，微软近期发布的营销也透露其“去 Xbox 硬件化”，将友商的 PC、电视棒 / 机顶盒、游戏掌机、VR 头显等产品都视为玩微软游戏的终端。
参考微软 2025 财年第 2 财季（截至 2024 年 12 月 31 日的第 4 季度），Xbox 硬件收入同比下降了 29%，不过归功于 Xbox Game Pass，Xbox 内容和服务收入却增长了 2%。
